The Election '08 Ballot on Facebook

Hey, this is Rob — Newsvine intern 2.0. Today I'm happy to announce Newsvine has just released a Facebook application for the upcoming 2008 U.S. Presidential elections. We've got some exciting election stuff coming up and this is just the tip of the proverbial iceberg.

If you've got Facebook, you can go ahead and install my masterpiece Newsvine's Election '08 widget to your Facebook profile.

Mike and the team gave me free reign over development and design of the new Facebook hotness (read: I'm running the show over here). The Election '08 Facebook application allows you to vote on the 2008 U.S. Presidential candidates, or denounce politics all together (my personal favorite). Once we get some votes tallied, we'll be displaying a breakdown of results by regions, schools, etc on Newsvine's Facebook Election '08 Headquarters.

The Election '08 Facebook application will also display data from our yet-unannounced top-secret election coverage here on Newsvine. Stay tuned.
